Candice Swanepoel was born in Mooi River, Natal Province, and was spotted by a model scout in a Durban flea market at age 15. By age 16, Swanepoel was earning €5,000 or R40,000 for a day’s work. Swanepoel’s resume includes covers for Vogue (Greece & Italia), ELLE (Germany), and Ocean Drive (U.S.) and advertisements for Nike, Diesel, Guess?, and Versus Eyewear. Swanepoel has walked the runway for Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce and Gabbana, Shiatzy Chen, Sass and Bide, Betsey Johnson, Diane von Fürstenberg and numerous other designers, as well as for Victoria’s Secret in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. In addition to appearing in the lingerie brand’s commercials, she was a featured model in the 2010 “SWIM” catalog, along with Lindsay Ellingson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Erin Heatherton. In 2010, Swanepoel became a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Swanepoel modeled for the Kardashians’ 2010 swimwear line. On August 12, 2010 Swanepoel officially opened the first Victoria’s Secret retail store in Canada, at West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton. Doutzen Kroes (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌdɔu̯tsən ˈkrus]; born January 23, 1985) is a Dutch model and currently one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels. She started to work for the brand in 2004, became a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2008 and is currently considered one of the world’s top earning supermodels. Kroes was born in the town of Eastermar (Dutch: Oostermeer), in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. As a young girl, Kroes aspired to be a professional speed skater Kroes has been featured on the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Seventeen, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, W, Avantgarde, Dazed & Confused, and Numéro. She also appears regularly in the Victoria’s Secret catalog and walked the runway of the company’s fashion show in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Kroes’s campaigns include Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, Versace, Valentino, Blumarine and Calvin Klein for both their ‘White’ label and their fragrance ‘Eternity’. In 2005, Kroes was selected as “Model of The Year” on Vogue.com by readers. She was presented on the May 2007 cover of American Vogue as one of the “World’s Next Top Models” next to Chanel Iman among others. Alyssa Miller (born July 4, 1990) is an American fashion model. Following cover appearances for Vogue (Germany, October 2006) and Elle (Italy, July 2010), she became one of the new faces of Guess clothing in late 2010. She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut in 2011, photographed by Walter Iooss, Jr. in Fiji and Bjorn Iooss in Maui, Hawaii. She was one of five rookies (along with Shannan Click, Kenza Fourati, Izabel Goulart, and fellow Guess model Kate Upton) in the issue. According to a story in The Wall Street Journal she had previously thought that if she ever appeared in Sports Illustrated it would be for soccer, since she envisioned herself as a professional soccer player. She also appeared in the body painting feature in the Swimsuit Issue where Joanne Gair painted her and Stewart Shining photographed her in New York City.
